Downward Spiraling

Downward Spiraling

One would think it not a sport,
to travel down the spiral.
One would tell you not to go,
they did not see the gold at the end.

Some would rather you stay at the top,
look down and always ponder.
Some would push you hard down,
thinking it would be the end.

Not so,
there is light at the bottom.
The sun still shines in the smallest hole.
Spiraling down may be quite bumpy,
there are smiles at the healing of bruises.

Then there are those who won’t spin,
it’s far too obscure.
What if the light isn’t really there?
Isn’t it better to always wonder?

There is light every where.
In the dark close your eyes tightly,
see the flickers?
The sparks may be buried –look deep.

Sometimes you don’t have to spiral,
take a tiny step each way.
Though downward spiraling can be injurious,
it is well worth swimming in the light of the tunnel.

    Hello my lovely Angel,
This poem reminded me of one of my favourite quote, which I actually posted today on my Alienhippy fb page. Here it is, love you so much. Lees. xxx πŸ™‚

“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times,
when one only remembers to turn on the light.”
~Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling~
