Stealthy Dances

i dream silently in

the day; as to not awake

the sleeping giants,

who smite dreams out with fearful

hands, and obliterate thoughts

that soar freely in

barless cages; lucid dreams

escape LOUDLY at

night when giants sleep under

thick stars who whisper

their hypnotizing lulls as

to not awaken giants –

for their pleasure is to watch …

the dance of the free!

  1. We are ‘neighbors’ at the ‘pub’ tonight….thought I’d say hi. This was a dreamy poem.

  2. Brian Miller says:

def beware the giants who would much rather quash the dreams of others than to find their own….it is nice we can let them roam a bit free in the night…

  3. Yes..it seems there are giants under stars..that enjoy a free dance kinda person..and then there are other giants under stars..that would like to see the dance come to halt..i

dance loudly..personally..without a sound..at least not..on the floor..:)as to keep the malevolent giants at bay…;)and away from dreams..dancing loudly for star(s)…good to read ya by the way..:)again…

YES! I shall and wish that for all people feeling the vibrations of giants lurking about. 🙂

  4. Describing the nightmares as giant reminds me of a children’s book I had … “Who Will Comfort Toffle?” (though I had it in Swedish… a book on the world of the Moomin… oh yes…

  5. Wonderful imagery – a great commentary on the sublime.
