the day; as to not awake
the sleeping giants,
who smite dreams out with fearful
hands, and obliterate thoughts
that soar freely in
barless cages; lucid dreams
escape LOUDLY at
night when giants sleep under
thick stars who whisper
their hypnotizing lulls as
to not awaken giants –
for their pleasure is to watch …
the dance of the free!
Participating in OpenLinkNight ~ dVerse! I have read some wonderful pieces this evening!

Hi Jody! Thank you, I will pop over to visit you. 🙂
def beware the giants who would much rather quash the dreams of others than to find their own….it is nice we can let them roam a bit free in the night…
Yes, let them roam and run from dream crushing giants!
Yes..it seems there are giants under stars..that enjoy a free dance kinda person..and then there are other giants under stars..that would like to see the dance come to halt..i

YES! I shall and wish that for all people feeling the vibrations of giants lurking about. 🙂
Describing the nightmares as giant reminds me of a children’s book I had … “Who Will Comfort Toffle?” (though I had it in Swedish… a book on the world of the Moomin… oh yes…
Björn thank you for sharing, I always enjoy what my poems spark into someone’s thoughts … now I must go have a look at at this book.
Wonderful imagery – a great commentary on the sublime.
Thank you Annelisa!
