Light, broke a frigid veil,

luminosity rose celestial quakings,

distance seemed too close —

Darkness, spun awake slumbering dreams,

Fall perked up its lips,

piercing green leaves with charming winds,

while red ones sailed into the sky,

Sun and Moon watched in awe,

as they longingly reached for one another,

still hoping for that final embrace

Loved your poem and the accompanying photograph.

  2. Wow! Stunning image and poem!

  3. Fall.. is my favorite season as it gives respite to the harsh heat and humidity.. in Northern Florida Indian Summers.. towards the end of October finAlly like this.. temperatures ‘plunging’ into the 50’s.. but still a far far way.. from frost…

I know you have mentioned some issues with SAD.. and your poem here is a beautiful and optimistic tale of autumn hopes.. that does definitely tell me you are doing well..:)as the light inside you keeps you strong.. while the light of FALL dims.. and the colors of leaves go bright.. before dark as well..:)wHere hope and light within goes on as oNE!

    • Thank you for these words katiemiafrederick! I am doing very well and “coping” with the intrusive depressive thoughts that try to lurk and linger. This year is proving to be much more hopeful and I have manged to gain new joys during the start of the cold months. I have manged to regain some positivity with the month of November, for as long as I can remember Oct., Nov. and Jan. have been the most challenging – there are many triggers in those months. However, just this week I felt the fog of triggers starting to consume me then, looked to the bright full moon one morning and discovered that they had no grasp on me. It was a good moment. πŸ™‚
