Continuance
I haven’t walked on the edge of your breath for eons,
then, again it’s been a century since,
I heard your voice;
a decade, or more lost in an eternity —
drifting farther on rippling waters,
from oceans through streams,
leaving millennium imprints,
from here to infinity,
a lasting sunset that never rose,
and dangled between that sunrise
without a single lapse of time;
I haven’t lost that last breath of yours —
a tiny vapor that resides in the bottom of my left lung,
once in an era, it slips passed in a hiccup,
pricking straight into my heart’s memory
Very good write, great read. >KB

I love the use of eternal images that reflect the title i.e. sunset, breath and water. However with breath being the odd one out it symbolizes the end, which also weakens the eternal link of sun and water. Been away for a while, but been a pleasure to keep an eye on your wonderful work.
Nice to see you louiville! Thank you, I always enjoy what you have to share you always make me think even more … 🙂
I enjoy your work as it is quite multilayered in its metaphors and themes, which is what I prefer in poetry.
