Conundrum
a terrible torture –
being seen;
a diabolic affliction –
to be invisible;
lurking shadow –
filmed behind gray eyes,
scorching with color;
fleshy tones stroke,
through muted lips,
peer between layers –
cortexual musings;
musically preening,
Please see me,
in complete invisibility

interesting…i like how in the opening you lay them both out as not good…but desire each in the end…to be truly seen can be amazing…but also make one feel so vulnerable…
It’s true to be seen can be amazing, but opens up such vulnerabilities. Being seen carries mixed feelings of excitement and validation along with, feeling frightful and exposed. All are exhilarating.
for me, being invisible is a bit weird – i want to be but not. I crave it, but hate it.
