succumb
my darkest tale lives,
slightly beneath these charcoal eyes,
hidden upon my tastebuds,
syllables drenched in a story of you,
i will never speak,
your name coats these white teeth
musing horrific smiles,
i scrupulously swallow a good-bye –
you’ll never know what esoteric delicacies
live within this mouth,
you’ve lost the privilege,
to inhale my sweetest breath,
or touch this tongue that whirs with whispers,
and starlit eyes that hold numerous pleasantries,
for you they hold the blackest of night,
no light shall be wasted –
i’ve succumb to dark matter …
I felt this. Hope you’re doing okay xo
This was an intense moment of emotion I am not quite sure where it came from, but it seemed to help writing this. 🙂
I’m glad it helped! xo
Where writing and living combine can make one lost in emotions, the quick decent in the passing of this poem express that so clearly.
You always have the such great poetic comments louiville! Thank you!
Anytime, I like think like the poet to understand their work.

Yay! Love to hear that Cat!
Truly amazing piece. Raw emotion in word form. So expressive. “Syllables, drenched in a story of you, I will never speak.” Most favorite line.
Keep Inspiring
Thank you JMC813! I will try to keep at it. 🙂
