Vanished
Night cried into the
saltiness of Ocean’s waves;
drowning out Moon’s lust-
er that lingered far, far a –
way; an eclipsing shadow
thrust crashing whirls of sorrow,
stinging fog coated eyes – staled
while a desert stood silent,
whimpering for lost time

Could you rewrite this work and go more into depth in the version of the original. I would really enjoy viewing the work. Thank you.
Thank you so glad to have you here reading! I appreciate your comment, however, it was my intention to have the poem evasive and limited. It is part of my play on the word “vanished” in the title. I wanted the feeling of losing or missing something. If that makes sense.
Thank you very much. I understand your intent. If you relate another work to this premise send me a message. gday!
π I will do that!
Conceptual. Thank you anyway!
cool – nice mystical feel in this… and wow… congrats on no. 700 – that’s awesome
Thank you Claudia! I like “mystical feel” sweet!
This gives off feeling of the earth’s and beyond elements naturally stalking us. And considering we all eventually vanish is both haunting and true.
Yes! I like that! It’s like an eery kind of lurking about of nature and such … during fall the sky, moon, stars, sun, nature in general has a different feel to me. It’s like we are all part of their movie – last night I said, “this time of year always makes me feel like I am in The Truman Show or something” have you seen that movie?
That is one film I have not got round to see yet. Your poem reminded me of something I wrote about the large moon in my last book. Your take on nature and the universe always fascinates.
