Cozy

crackling spruced embers,

smoldering woodpile, rages

smoke-filled chimney scenes,

peaceful loneliness fuels flames

Here are my “PEACE”ful thoughts for the moment. The “peace” prompt given by Mary at dVerse swooned over me and sparked many deep thoughts – my mind is overwhelmed and filled with many thoughts that I cannot grab a hold of because this past week … I decided to go with the simplicity of a burning fire to bring some peace to my own mind today.

Peace to you all!

smiles…a burning and crackling fire has such a soothing quality… it surely brings the mind to a peaceful rest…ah…wish i had a fireplace now…

peaceful loneliness….almost seems an oxymoron…there is a certain contentment that can come in solitude…and if we are comfortable with it we should pursue it..others it is in community that peace can be found…sitting by the fire is def peaceful to me…

    • yes, peaceful loneliness seems to be at odds – i take pleasure things like that. i enjoy my solitude, most definitely (i rarely have any so it is a great treasure to me) a warm soothing fire was a tranquil plce for me. i do not get to sit by a fire anymore, but i have memories.

  3. The fireplace.. and glass of wine and good music… that’s peaceful..

I do think a lot of peace can be found by looking into the flames of a fireplace or campfire. And that is what, indeed, we all seek in our own way. Beautifully expressed.

  5. Lovely touch to this – beautifully done.. With Best Wishes Scott http://www.scotthastie.com
