The absurdity of her fruitless efforts, brought a marriage of futility and extraneous hopes.

It bridged impotent adoration’s and lackluster insensitivities. Aimlessly dancing in a vicious circle of inconsequential daydreams.

Her obtuse emotions were wasted on a man that found her of no consequence.

Yet, she strongly believed in a “love will conquer all” fallacy.

Clinging tightly to his volatile embrace, he seduced her with facetious kisses.

And raped her soul from afar, pretending this barren relationship would flourish in closefutures, while draining her with farcical memories – optimistic spinning wheels.

She mauled her insidious heart into stone then, dust.

Repost from my short story blog. I have not had time to write any stories lately, but here is the blog UnpeggingRetro. (Retro Unpegged)

  1. Was this a true story? Because I feel this was…it seems like the man was forcing this woman at will to love him obsessionally.

    • Angel says:

It was a true story in the sense of how I have experienced or witnessed relationships where one or the other gave far more than the other person. And how one person can lose their identity clinging to the idea of a love that does not exist.

      • oh…I see what you mean. I’m sorry you had to go through that. 😦 Well, at least you have a husband that love you and a child who you love so much.

I like this poem of yours…
