Sunset Blues

Sunset Blues

sunset,

chiseled between my lungs

(—i cough out – moon dust

each breaking moment—)

you have left; again

stillness breathes meteors

pounding within a hollowed,

cavern

(—i have a lacerated lung –

punctured with midst—)

the loss of you,

escaping,

through a hole

cleverly pierced

(—for no one to see,

i am left gasping for air—)

as the world watches,

a deflated chest –

clawing for a missing sunset

Side note: This was inspired by a moment of feeling the loss of the sunset – I am quite chipper. 😀

Listening to …

That is all for now I must be off! 5 is alright, it is red. 5 x 2 = 10 – awesome number 10 so perfectly ten. Five, two’s and the numbers float on rivers of purple and gray waiting to meet us at the end of infinity …. Ha ha ha that was the visual I just had swarm my head as I was listing to the last song. Night all!

I will make my blog reading rounds tomorrow, it has been a busy day.

Well I’m glad you’re chipper. For me the best lines of the poem were sunset,

    “chiseled between my lungs

(—i cough out – moon dust

    each breaking moment—)”
I really liked your sign off, which to my mind was close to being a prose poem–a good one.
Back to the poem–I have some thoughts on it but would be remiss to not ask for permission to either give them to you here, or rather in a private email. My criticism is constructive in nature and not meant to embarass you. Let me know your thoughts.>KB

  2. Bringing it as always! xo
