More To Find

More To Find

you see me?
cracked the creaking
sound of the breaking Dawn –
you hear me?
howled the morning’s breath
that hid behind the Night –
you do believe?
whispered the hush
of a dying, [re-birthing] dandelion –
who watched the color fade,
and jumped upon a freeing whisk
fluttering away –
in a chroma-filled blaze
you want me?
asked the Universe,
who had much more to share

Guess what?? It’s OpenLinkNight at dVerse! There are some really great poems to read go have a look! 🙂

P.S. I am not sure where I found this image – it was hiding out in one of my folders. I did find the original without the colors added to the background here.

    i love dandelions too…smiles.

    • Thank you Brian! Dandelions are such fascinating plants to me. I really enjoy collecting eclectic images of them as well as watching them in real life. 🙂 I always think they are on grand adventures with stories packed into each seed.

  3. Laurie Kolp says:

    Aww… I really like this. = )

  4. I love this poem so much! You are such an amazing thinker! 🙂

So, what is this dverse place everyone keeps talking about? How do you enter it? or how do they find you?

    • Thank you Charlie! You have an incredible way of thinking too my friend!

You should go have a look at dVerse, click on their link above and they explain what they are all about. I was hesitant at first because I was not sure if I could do any prompts, but it has helped me think a little more out of the box … is that possible?? 🙂 I have enjoyed participating, you may as well.

  5. Very nice…there’s always more to find indeed in the universe!

  6. I would yes, yes, why not ~ Good of you to pull this one out of hiding ~ Happy OLN ~

This is so surreal. The picture – dandelion, universe. A dandelion is sort of a metaphor for a galaxy where upon when it dies – explodes( or implodes, not sure which) all of its little pieces spread out into the universe with the hopes of creating matter/life. So cool. xx

  8. Waltermarks says:

You deserve lots of replies tonight. That’s a wonderful expression of exploration.

  9. I love this….. Expressed well 🙂

  10. Gay Cannon says:

When considering the topic I took on this time, I have a greater empathy with your poem. We are of such small size in terms of the universe – hardly bigger than a subatomic particle, and yet like it we can personally and individually impact the entire universe. That’s the wonder you imparted in this work. Kudos.

    • How ironic you shared this, I am getting ready to publish a poem that taps into much of what you are saying here. I guess, it is an extension of this poem. 🙂 Thank you Gay!

  11. Beth Winter says:

Wonderful. I often lose myself to the greater existence and feel very tiny. Well written, much enjoyed.
