Words At Play

emerging words –
spreading out,
filling up our page!

intensity aroused –
rising peak
mind wanders;
deeply struck
hypersensitivity
Your words ruptured;
(rippling excitement)

letters, wrapping, tapping –
twirl
rhythm and rhyme
we keep up time
written in webs, they stick
lexical love-making

twisting thoughts;
unravel{minds naked!}
expressions kept in deep places
revealed in sic arrangement –
word-perfect
[rightly fit]

Untangle! threads of a heart –
an exact phrase
quiver, through a soul’s divine
enticing academic,
and emotion{osculation}
flood,
wrath!
inside the mold;
hidden places within –
breaking into meter

Syllable-by-syllable,
raging in our gut;
manifesting desires,
and pains
character mark of ecstasy
throbbing for the next
quantern, song, or didactic?
free verse could be more pleasure,
{interlocking intoxication}

eyes that know what words can do,
dabble, in paradise trance
swing into the swells of delight
word’s playful glance
escalate stimulation!
we have flawless phrase,
locked into word intercourse

tainted words,
brought back to life
[with correct usage]
fall and rise,
in pure gratification
words expressed properly
right fitting words swoon in,
suck life/death,
in and out of one’s heart –
melting all reason,
while awakening nous
{lip-locked, illogical –
intellect’s fantasy}

This is a poem that I “revamped” so to speak. The original is here  from April 2012. I have an original poem or  few sitting in my drafts waiting to be completed or mused over a bit more, but when I read what Björn had written on dVerse I immediately thought of this poem. As I read it the words took over and decided to amuse themselves a bit more. 😀

Words are such a playful and intriguing bunch!

I have read a few of the other poems that have been shared and they are fabulous! You must go have a look. Unfortunately, I must be off for the evening … I will have to read more tomorrow. Happy evening everyone!

    lexical love making…that is awesome…ha…also like the untangling the heart to get to the right phrase….cool rip in this…

    • Thank you Brian! There are quite a few comments about the lexical love making – I admit it was a twisting in my mind that I enjoyed. 🙂 There are some words that seem to have a personalty of their own to me, lexical is one of them.

  3. Laurie Kolp says:

    I especially like the 3rd stanza… and second Brian’s sentiments.

  4. Ha! I think you are on to something- I immediately noted the “lexical love making” as well… wonderful

    I know that feeling! I also love lexical love making. Well penned.
