Altered Perception

a cradled kiss – cupped

protectively in fearful

hands; lost its eloquent flight –

~

its impetus for

life? melted wax – blown away

powdery scales, fallen dust;

~

echoing  colors,

fading through black skies, drowned in

moonbow’s promises, true love?

~

never dies, but it!

would not suffocate,{nor cling}

unto one’s death, BREATHE –

~

Wandering Butterfly! seek;

purity of Life,

{companionship} – One’s own heart

(Partly inspired by many butterflies roaming and wandering about my yard recently and by the many posts and images that have shared lovely things about butterflies. :-D)

    I think the gift of true unconditional companionship is something that means the most to use humans. I hope the day gives you and yours all you require and desire.

    • I think so too Benjamin, interestingly, I have had a peaceful mind shift in what companionship means to me. I no longer seek to find it then, become afraid of losing it. I have let it go and found inner peace with companionship with myself as well.

      I cherish what I found in others, but I now see how important it is to have solace with my self. I feel empty and full at the same time. 🙂

      I hope you have a fluttery filled day full of colorful magic!

    I appreciate this so much because it is something we long for. It’s true and naked. To be able to feel and put yourself out there and have someone who is there with you in this is beautiful. Well written. Thank you for sharing this.

    • Thank you Fee! Many times I find that my words come out before my mind has time to catch up with the emotions. It actually works well for me in my processing. There are so many things that influence my emotions and I find it hard to discern them quickly, poetry and writing is a means to find connection with myself. That may sound a bit strange, but I feel more myself and more connected as a whole when I write. 🙂

  3. I don’t know how you bring it home every time! amazing. xo
