Affections of Silence

Affections of Silence

Silence, my name –

I

creep on threads,

the tightrope in one’s mind;

calling, impulsing,

banging!

SHOUTING! hear?

Silence, my name –

I convict,

all the lonely Creatures,

waiting, remotely behind

eyes,

in broad daylight –

cradled in promises

that are said; before midnight –

they take,

the abandoned home;

Silence – I quietly

entertain,

actively stoic hearts;

drenching my affections –

colorfully ’till morning

[mourning]

  1. Wow that last word really brought it home! xo

  2. Eva PoeteX says:

    The wordplay at the end is what did it for me. Great piece!
