Yesteryear{s}

the whisper of my voice,

will never clamor into your ears,

a touch of my dripping lips,

will never know desire again,

my eyes; had once seen beauty,

but now they dredge in dark,

and once I danced in pleasure –

it only broke my heart

    Very sad and gloomy, but with a certain eloquence. I liked the ending best.

    One can always dance to a different tune, of wonder and bliss, lead no life of remorse and remiss. Find that hand and kiss those lips if only just to fill the heart of love once more.

    • Benjamin, it is such a joy when you leave poetical comments! I am afraid my musings are one tracked today – a bit heartbrokenish and blue. That past comes and spins memories that tear open my chest leaving it gaping for the world the to thrash. That is ok, it makes for great inspiration!! Are you well today? I hope you are doing better! 🙂

        I’m sorry for your pain, it shows and I in pain(t) with you. I to am highly guilty of showing the universe my heart I find it rather cathartic. Today I’m okay(ish) have counseling with mrs tonight so I’m sure I’ll be a wreck later but for know I’m alive and thankful.

      • I am good Benjamin, it is a loop that comes at me that I have to process. I am thinking that I have not been handling it in the best of ways and that is why it continues to creep into my mind. Who knows??

        I hope counseling went well! I have not been on any blogs yet so I have not seen any of your posts. You may be sharing your “process” already. The great thing about being “wrecks” is the creativity that pours out!

        That part I embrace fully no matter how painful it may be. 🙂 ((HUGS)) to you too!

  3. Have you and Benny ever done a poem together?! Awesome as always, and now where’s the hip hop?!
