Elusive Shadow

the kiss

Elusive Shadow

kiss me, kiss me!
until my scales fall into ashes,
kiss me, KISS ME!
until my flesh is warm again,
KISS ME! kiss me,
with lips full of pouty sleep,
kiss me as my ashes fade into water,
kiss me with creases that remind!
[me of what they are]

kisses; sweet gentle presses, against
the puzzle pieces that form my mouth,
awaking this carmex coated meaty portal of life,
kiss me, awake;
KISS ME! to sleep,
kiss me to death,
KISS ME! to life,
grab hold of the nook of my neck,
softly caress your lips across my skin,
do not kiss me, NO!

do not fill this body full of endearment,
nestle your breath into my breath –
let us coax eye filled conversations,
penetrate mind embracings;
speak over my follicles sweeping,
grazing a sense of knowing,
understanding, accepting,
let plump smooches rise –
slightly above the corner,
of my lower left lip,
leave hand prints,
and lip burns seared upon my right shoulder

spin me around, quietly speak into my left ear,
run your fingers through my tousled hair,
as my eyes close, drifting to nowhere –
kiss me, kiss me good bye,
before you kiss me hello –
keep me wrapped in allusive kisses;
tucked away in the wee hours of the night,
when no one else hears my cries or sees your shadow –
leave a shadow’sque kiss upon my forehead,
before the moon finds you,
and I kiss you first!
