Abate?

Abate?

We, you say, just friends?
am I anything to you,
at all?
a smidgen of light,
a kaleidoscope of thought,
a hue of night
a whisper through …
the sway of tree’s unclothed limps
a wink in the eyes of a slacken snail,
meandering upon a frigid path?

do tell, my friend,
have we anything,
but the same sky,
accepting oxygen into our lungs,
breathing(heaving) in shortness of breath,
an exhale of utterance;
ecstatic friendship –
living centuries ago,
lingering on the scrumptious memories;
left on the footpaths of butterfly feet –
whisking away, into sagas of Northern Lights
we are still friends?

I simply ask,
I presume;
I have become nothing more than,
a faded memory
achromatized –
lost?
the last cognizance of me
I fear,
I have not been the friend;
you were seeking –
(gasping in the awe;
my ether dissolved,
into the flutter of quiet wings
but, we are still friends?)

(I must be stuck on the Cosmos and “A” words. :-))

    Incredible writing! I stand in awe!!! 🙂

    • Thank you Luggage Lady! Your latest poem was intensely filled with imagery that filled my head with visual sounds! It was great! Sorry, I did not comment that on your blog, I keep getting sidetracked from “real” life back to my blogging world and forget where I am. Lol!
