Provoked
I lost my words into the guts of your tongue,
liquefying the breath of my heart,
soothing innermost parts –
who had no revelation of some existence.
You devoured my fears;
through the graze of your flesh,
warmth, unknown to a creature like me –
who had no realization of ecstasy.
I sank my soul into the depths of your eyes,
raising awareness of how celibate they were,
awaking desires; unaware of their slumber –
cohering some unbreakable bond.
I became conscious of the severity;
you had provoked me,
penetrating the circuits of my mind –
that enjoyed such pleasures.
[not knowing the recourse would vanish, one day]
This is an awesome read.
There is so much going on, with a very simple outcome…
Stimulation and inspiration.
Your muse must’ve blown your mind,
Or plans on doing so. π
Thank you Shackled and Crowned! Awww, yes, my muse… hee hee The only current affairs are of me traveling back in time to pull such intensity. π
This whole line touched me in so many ways.
I lost my words into the guts of your tongue,
liquefying the breath of my heart,
soothing innermost parts –
who had no revelation of some existence.
You devoured my fears;
through the graze of your flesh,
warmth, unknown to a creature like me –
who had no realization of ecstasy.
Brilliant! I see this whole entire poem as surrealism. An art of stepping through the currents of curiosity, wickedness, questions of life itself.
You have embarked on something so special in your words and your soul.
“unknown to a creature like me –
who had no realization of ecstasy.”
By this do you mean creatures of the wild who have no knowledge or awareness of ecstasy and the illumination that is skinning into their own skin? Beautiful! and a question of so much in philosophy.
π
Whooo hooo Charlie! This is such a great comment. Thank you!
While I did write this from emotion, they are always mixed with my psychological/philosophical/scientific(mostly neuroscience)research of the moment. I do enjoy dissecting my emotions and my brain wanderings to see why it is feeling a certain way. π (I am currently on a cognitive distortion/dissonance information gathering. We’ll see what comes out of me.)
I believe we can all be considered creatures of the wild. Let us all take a moment and be skinned into ecstasy (existential illumination?? maybe.). π
You are truly wise beyond your human mind. I’m truly grateful that we are friends…:)
New blog…http://charliezero1.wordpress.com/2013/01/21/jimmy-is-a-happy-rapist/
I’d like to hear your input on my imaginary friend Jimmy. π
Charlie, I went to go read your poem the other day, but continued to get interrupted. I like reading peoples words without hindrance so I can get the “full” experience. I plan to go back later this evening to have a good read and see what my thoughts are, always enjoy pondering your words, friend. π
π I shall be here awaiting your thoughts on Jimmy. π
Simply luscious, wandering, passionate journey.
Yay! Thank you Benjamin! Love the word luscious. π
This is absolutely amazing. I love poetry in general but this is an exceptional poem. The intensity and depth of your words is so real and I can feel them from here!
Thank you Gretchen! I am so glad to read your comment. I always hope to capture what I am “feeling” into words and I am never sure if I have.
It makes me very happy when someone shares with me that they experienced my words with me. Yay! π
