Anguish
shrieking laments, PULSE –
rage from this chest, swallowed up
in empty digress
wailing vessels of,
squelched fantasies; you again,
evade rejection
leave me on hold while,
your life goes on, and me, I
sit in silent angst
(centuries close in,
nightmares ring through, brittle shards
awake constant; still
shall there be more tears,
swept into the atmosphere,
for you to ignore?)
Ignore, he shall….
Until your voice is the single
Most important
Voice that his
Heart
Hears.
Indeed! Shackled and Crowned, indeed! 🙂
Powerful, sad and reaching, it breaks my heart because I know it’s song so well.
Thank you Benjamin! I think many of us know this song, it has been morphing another tale or poem, I believe. Sometimes I adore heartache, other times not so much. 🙂
Immersing descriptions! Deep in thought! And very well written. The photo is a good pick and match for this piece. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much Yahobahne! I had the word “anguish” stuck in my head and when I saw the image I thought it was not only beautiful, but fitting. I am glad my feelings were correct that it was a good fit for the poem.
I just popped over to your blog and am intrigued to read your “A Story Describing Her “Soul Ties” series. I have to wait until later so I can read them all at once. Thank you for stopping by and commenting!
