New Year’s Day – Alone

fullmoon

New Year’s Day – Alone

tears, could not force the

ringing heart into silence

cold flesh, chapped, cracked lips

crow’s feet encasing,

dried, stained eyes – salty clusters

crashed upon the floor

arms embraced memories,(same)

no friend, cold New Year

Familiarity

the acquaintance, who became

a most faithful, Love

(the sun did not rise,

nor, did light shine through windows,

but the Moon did gleam)

Stay well Angel.x tough time of year.

    • Thank you Lady Day, I will. It does hold happy-sad memories every year. BUT! Without pain and sorrow we cannot know the sweetness of true joy. I paraphrased from somewhere, I can’t remember. Calvin and Hobbes I’m sure. Lol!

Laughter the best medicine? Ok, now I am just full of stuff tonight. I will stop before I keep going.

It is good to “read” you again. I hope you keep them coming, my friend. 🙂 May you be well too! Cheers to the new year!

  2. Angels are never alone 🙂 Love to you …one of my favorite Angels
Have a wonderful New Year my sweet friend

    • Thank you Cindy! You made me smile REAL big. 😀

It’s funny how the mind can trick you into thinking that you are alone.

I am looking forward to the new year, I hope yours is wonderful too, my friend!

      Much love to you too!
