Of Love & Loss
pinprick; thorns tangle
pointy raindrops drizzle
spiky rainbows pierce –
colorful stings,
prisms prickle
jabbing hues
kaleidoscopic stabs
assaulted by the brilliance of color,
psychedelic pique raging –
in pounding clouds,
falling into the absolute,
wonderment of love,
and paroxysm of its loss
One of the things that I like about your writing style is you write from the head mixed with the heart.
That is awesome to hear Benjamin! I often wonder how my words translate to others. I am unsure most of the time.
This is great to know. Thank you!
Each line is love. Each line is loss. Each line is BOTH! Amazing!
Hi Memoirs of a Dragon! Thank you so much! I tried to capture my love/loss feeling with my words. 🙂
Hey, I remembered a video that I was consumed with over and over last year as well. I thought you may enjoy it too. Maybe you have seen it, but it is always worth sharing . Hee hee http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=kkGeOWYOFoA
I had not seen that before! Thank you! Simply…the best visualization of Fibonacci Numbers (and more!), I have ever seen! Loved it all and my favourite part is with the … Dragonfly!
Oh, good! I am glad you liked it. I loved the dragonfly too. 🙂 I just mentioned you as my inspiration for my latest poem. I shared a Fib poem.
Thank you! And I am toying with more ‘Fibs’ and ..others!
Just mentioned you in my latest ‘Fib’!
How grand! I will pop over and take a look. 🙂 I must say this has been quite fun and has stirred some tucked away poetic passions. How could I leave my numbers? Oh, the treachery! Hee hee
The Treachery of Numbers! What a great title! I am discovering more forms of math/poetry and … having fun! This is all new to me, this writing ‘stuff’!
Memoirs of a Dragon I had not thought about it, but you are right that makes a great title! I do enjoy that different types of math/poetry. I only started playing with them last year, but stopped many of my attempts or have not shared because I am unsure of them. However, I think I may start sharing them if I attempt them just because. It is always good to push oneself – I am still trying to break out of my “shy shell.” 🙂
Share them …when you are ready! And remember – I am the one who holds copyright on being ‘shy’!
Memoirs of a Dragon you rock! 🙂 As much as I try to overcome my shyness some days it still overcomes me, but I will honor your copyright. Hee hee
Enjoyed your word choices in this one, thank you 🙂
So glad you enjoyed these words Zen and Genki! They were really fun to twist and bend together. 🙂
