My Lotus

Red Lotus by Deborah Gordon

My Lotus

dream inside of me
pull the red thread –
hidden deeply
linger in my crown awhile
catch some thoughts,
will you smile?

shimmy down my brow
open up my petals
violet visions
see through my eyes,
can I make you smile?

drink into my throat
call forth silver crescent
listen to the sound
unfolding petals –
speaking out lucid dreams,
did they make you smile?

lean upon my beating breast
hear my heartbeat –
confess
tangle in the hanging thread
interlock what’s in my head
feel my conscious spin around
stirring up my flame
blaring radiant light,
when will you smile?

splash in my belly and play
red thread and yellow blasts
touch my being
plant some seeds
write love words upon my fears
sing songs of life
charming anxiety into a friend,
can you make me smile?

sink into my bliss
dangling from the twine
swing and sway –
unlock my orange petals
we’ll swim in pleasure
colliding into balance
trapezing through connections,
will we smile together?

drift a little lower
red string is home
slip into my arms
cradled in trust
gently smooth my petals
full blossom,
can you see?
can we smile together?
