Moon Dance

Moon Dance

Once I whispered across your lips –
gently stroked my words into you,
sucked your breath into mine,
we sailed into tranquility.

Weaving in and out of thoughts,
magnetic eyes pulled through me –
ocean waves thrust out of limbs,
a moon dance; you and I.

Once we warmed through the night –
my blanket in the deep,
stealth secrets in our palms,
electric fingers jolted into trance –
flung within delicacy.

Twirling we whirled upon the songs,
sang in silent glance,
a kiss upon my lips,
forever a trail –
illuminating pause,
a moon dance; you and I.

Hi interiorstockholm, I know I fell in love with that image right away. I was searching for one to fit my poem and started to give up until I discovered that one. It is a beauty. I have linked to the site on the image. It is an image used for a ballet that I wish I could see. “TWILIGHT EMOTIONS with Kaguyahime: The Moon Princess. East meets West in the first full-scale narrative ballet by Czech choreographer Jiˇrí Kylián. This adaptation of a Japanese folk tale fuses contemporary dance with the reinvented art of traditional Japanese drumming.”
