Hollow

Hollow

what to do –
a heart full of love,
unable to receive.

feel.

a broken being,
cruel events –
to love without the taste.

embrace.

void vessel,
walking empathy –
never for self.

fractured.

narcissisticly mistaken –
identity twisted,
waterfalls given,
nothing in return.

bankrupt.

cantankerous impression –
falsely accused,
writhing love addiction,
avoidant by nature.

survival (a must)

left hollow –
destroyed connection,
lingering refabrication.

~

is there hope out there?
able to unzip eyes,
creating a collage –
paste and scars.

to cover nonstop echoing –
the pit full with starvation,
screaming and writhing –
what is love?

pull down glossed lips,
imprint life –
fold comforting palms,
over the heart.

revive!
connect!
embrace!
resurrection!

into the hollow,
pull up from the pit –
the dirt covered floor,
safe from the monster –
spewing lies into hollow.

~

what to do –
with a heart so easily loving,
never receiving –
unable to know.

touch.

curled up survivor –
lonely; left aching,
uncontrollable empath.

seeking.

longing to know –
what is so effortless to give…
to strangers.

hard shell (necessity)

live in shallows,
careful not to shatter –
glued together pieces,
seeping out cracks,
never ending hollow;
waiting…

sealant.

I can relate to this poem 100%, a swirling eddy 🙂

Hi shafiqah1, I must say I am very happy that someone else can relate – though that may sound kind of bad. 🙂 A swirling eddy – pure awesomeness! Thank you!
