Pleasure In Seeds

Pleasure in Seeds

ever so gently,
dipping my fingers,
slowly dripping,
cradled in morsels,
sprouting existence –
in a brash palm.

each shell’s casing,
coating my phalanges,
gripping hand,
with a firm,
soft handshake –
shaping every capsule,
comforting this soul.

cool coaxing pellets,
full of nutrients,
hiding such wisdom,
planting roots,
a covering on this flesh –
stroking with care.

molding my form,
delicately soothing;
sensory pleasure,
eyes roll in calm –
pleasures uncanny,
complexed in seeds.

Great photo, beautiful poetry. For all of us who have run our fingers through the bounty of mother natures seedlings, very meaningful! Thank you!
