Wisdom Of Calla Lily
God and I decided to have a chat,
I drank some coffee.
He just winked at me –
then, at a dove.
My questions went flying,
flapping against His invisible prose.
While angels kissed me in the wind,
I asked, “Why?”
He had no reply.
I asked, “When?’
Stoney faced grin,
He chuckled at my persistence.
I told Him I was tired of His games,
He whispered, “I know.”
Leaving me to my mind rampages,
seeking to swallow down truth,
wherever I could find it.
Finally, I sat still,
staring at the sunset,
and my toenail polish.
Coaxing my fingers across my lips,
sweat beating down my cheeks,
blood boiling in silence.
I decided that he and I,
were not to have this chat again.
He said, “I think that is a good idea.”
Patting me on the back as he walked off,
confiding, “It’s alright, we’re fine –
just like the rest of them.”
My eyes catching the breeze,
brushing against my lashes.
The gleaming lily said, “Hello.”
I smiled back, all cordial like,
it showed me how pretty it was,
while asking, “Do you like my dress?”
“Sure,’ I replied.
We complimented each other’s smooth skin.
My day ended with sweet ol’ Calla Lily,
giving me a curtsy, and a smile,
shaking her bell,
busting into her best falsetto,
“Go ahead, seek your truth –
never stop seeking your truth.“
I walked straight into the moon –
leaving my footprints,
as I surfed onto the ice of Europa.

I enjoyed this; it is very different than the rest of yours! I like the rest of your poems, too. But this one was so unique, and I could visualize you there talking to God and the lilly. You remind me of me…he he….totally could have had that conversation. You’re fun and fantastic. bubbles of love to you. 🙂 Sam
I am glad you enjoyed it Sam! I tend to write in whims of a different voice. I am positive you relate. I usually end up turning this type of poem into a “story poem” and post it on my other blog, but I am venturing out in my creativity just see what I come up with. 🙂 I seem to loop this conversation. hee hee Catching the bubbles of love and blowing some back! 🙂
glad you ventured out! 🙂 love to you
