Undivided

Undivided

It cannot break into pieces
Sliver in half, or take sides
The heart has a solid love
Desire incapable of separation
Pumping my body full
It pounds behind my chest

Throbbing beats of your name
Your name –
Manifesting existence into my soul
Keeping a thumping beat
To one sound
Blasting rapidly
Multi-dimensional commotions
Zeal and sorrow

My eyes morph into yours
Distances vague, never lost
Trying to pull,
Threads binding this heart
Tattered and sore
I am undone into you
A broken heart sealed
Liquid cement binding

The heart cannot be divided
Loving only one
Wrestling mind and body
Missing you deeply
Longing to use the word love
Though it is shallow
And stale in meaning
As the heart pumps you

The letters wallow in lacking
Pleading to bear the power
The heart cries out
Still they lack in definition
When my eyes roll to your image
My lungs graced with air

My lung,
As you hold the other –
In your smile
Far from me
My eyes lie in pictures
My fangs glisten sadness
Through grins
Wheeling past to present
Present to past

Infinity looping lips
Still kissing memories never broken
Lungs filling for the first time
Cradled in your breath
Leaving my heart in your arms
Pointless to pound without you there
Keep it in your grasp

My body heaving for air
The memories of an undivided heart
Fully alive pressed in cold panting
Waiting for your warm hands,
To cup it safely home
