Gather My Pieces

Gather My Pieces

Words scattered
Pieces strewn
Tips prick with speech
Tongue sliced my heart
Carry away my hope
Glimpse of light
Passed by
Sucked out life
Left standing alone
Staring at the shards
Cuts across my frail hands
Gathering broken fragments
Placing them together again
Strategically planted
