Quaint Thoughts

Quaint Thoughts

If one could compel the truth,
the intensity inside my heart,
ravenous thunderbolt of earnest,
desire to give,
to love,
to feel,
to know!

If but only once,
let the friction ignite,
empathy unravel,
another soul touch mine,
piercing with same blaze…

Daydreams I’ve been told,
farcical, ethereal thoughts,
but the sky speaks differently,
and the doves sing otherwise.

While I stare at the lines of my hand,
knowing it was created to be touched,
it lays lifeless,
warmed by only a glove.

And the doves outside my window,
cause my heart to know what it is like,
to love so deeply,
receiving impassioned adoration.

Silly magical birds,
unleash quaint thoughts.

  1. I love “unleash quaint thoughts.” Another beautiful poem from a vampire!
