Questioning The Intertwined
Drifting far away,
Quarks feel shaken,
Particles uneasy vibration.
Are you away from home?
My balance tossed in the ether,
No clarity of mind,
Resolution of silence.
Empty is my vessel, come home.
Connectedness feels out of reach,
Closed your vortex to me,
Hallow is my shell.
Questioning the accounts.
Explosion in my heart,
Funneling your way through each cell.
Are you home within my core?
Very moment of time,
Warmth flooded my soulish ary,
Enamored with the essence of your arrival,
Solidly confirming you never left.
You — My rational mind.
Let me have this moment.
Drift onward unexplainable,
fall into unreasonable,
myths that curl in the folds of wonder,
dreams like Twin Souls and Baucis & Philemon.
Could they be reality?
Lullaby me in the night,
Whisper in my veins “My pretty, pretty girl”
Links vined eternity spills into now,
Infinity spelling out trees roots.
Intertwining soul to soul, element to element –
Hearing the sound of a familiar voice in the leaves,
the wind, the sky…my slumber?
“The gods granted their request, for after spending still many years guarding the
temple, one day they put forth leaves, and no sooner they had said farewell to
each other, they were turned into trees standing close together and growing from
one double trunk…” ~ Metamorphoses by Ovid (Baucis and Philemon)
