Shiver

Shiver

Prickles of protected heart,
pierce with formed points.
Package looks deceptive,
glossy, pleasing shine.

I shiver.

Prick on the soul,
lash out,
quietly ignore.
Touch again, seek some warmth.

I shiver.

Soft waters trickle down,
seems desirable.
Crashing forces rush in,
trampled by icy, cold waves.

I shiver.

Hot sun scorches skin,
bleeds passionate heart.
Eyes open, then shut quickly.
Icicles formed cage.

I shiver.

Cracking sounds,
brittle case.
Cage could not hold.
Bust forth in wild release.

I shiver.

Shiver in twisting forms,
light exposed fogged haze.
Sunny sky dripped golden,
slivers lead to frays.
Shivers in the goosebumps happily delight.
Not so scary shivers hold in the night.
Shiver in the folding,
clasped-locked-contradict.
Shiver in the heated path,
walking through the midst.

Shiver in the cold,
shiver in the hot.
Shiver till it’s done.
Holding on for not?

Glazing windows,
frost bit sky.
Gray covered willow,
happily do hide.
In the morning mist do see,
as I shiver intrepidly.

I shiver without fault.
I shiver without fear.
I shiver as I wait.
I shiver without care.
I shiver in the light.
I shiver in the dark.

It has no hold upon me,
it is a driving force.

I shiver.
