Past
Wandering thoughts cross my mind,
visions of things I left behind.
Moments that moved my mind into place,
good or bad expressed on my face.
I felt some tug from my dreams in the night,
reliving the moments that once gripped me in fright.
Moments of laughter filling my mouth,
Remembering the times that happiness sprout.
Living each day half in my dreams,
wondering if people were as real as they seemed.
Lingering thoughts consume my mind,
a past that flickers seems far behind.
In an instant situations feel so real,
again I see them it’s surreal.
Some I am connected, ties will not fade,
others are vapors vanishing in the shade.
All my past makes me feel alive,
I see I am not afraid, I have always tried.
Hello my friend,
I so get where your coming from with this poem.
