A Poem About Being Stuck in a Paradigm

You Healed Me

Once I cried for Your healing.
Once I felt desperate to not be me.
Once I had tears of self-hatred.
Once I no longer wanted to be.

Once I prayed for the ending.
Once I tried to change.
Once I called out for healing.
Once I thought I was insane.

Once I realized something.
Once my healing was done.
Once I called out for true healing,
all the answers did come.

Once I felt the sensation.
Once the truth did set in.
Once I called out for healing,
but the healing was a means to an end.

Once I saw with open eyes.
Once I could really hear.
Once I no longer needed healing,
I accepted it was finished,
You made it all clear.
