Ray of Hope
ray of hope,
drip gently down my lashes -
cover these starkly eyes,
blazen them; sundrenched lullabies,
coax them with coddling truths
melt kisses into waxing folds -
hug these pupils firm
my sweet ray of hope;
seam yourself into my cones -
drizzle specs of colors;
the ones stolen (made stale)
let gray wash into rainbow’s healing,
caress these lashes tenderly,
lovingly, let them know adoration exists -
even if in far off lands
drown these eyes in sunlight’s care,
cling to me tightly, ray of hope -
bound me in endearing warmth,
let your whirring sing me joy -
ray of hope, stay close my friend;
remind me; I am not alone
sew me into sanguine embraces -
keep me clasped; my lips to yours,
my tenacious, ray of hope
dream into my eyes

You make Shakespeare jealous.

You’re welcome
As ever mindretrofit8 I am at a loss for words to characterize the way in which picture and image are so tightly bonded.
I watch you ‘wash’, ‘drizzle’ ‘drown’ and ‘drench’ with purest ‘drops of delight’ – a pleasure
Poetjena! So good to “see” you! I am so glad to read your comment – it feels good to capture image and word from what is trapped in my mind. This one felt right, if that makes any sense.
